 i had a Bull Thistle Gall Fly entered but didnt think it was fine art enough ..



the photo of the Superb fairywren was taken when visiting Fred and Melissa who live down the firetrail ..

the superb fairywrens come a lot to their place specifically to argue with their refelction in the mirrors Melissa has put out ..

i was sitting in the house having a chat .. had the macro lens on for later so couldnt zoom in .. also i was shooting through the glass .. added to that tod kept wanting to be at my feet creating a reflection ..

anyway .. i worked on this a bit trying to get it to look arty .. and the only way i know how is to add textures etc . ..

obviously i have a lot to learn in creating fine art .. !! ..

i have no idea if this will go better than the fly .. and i guess i'll never know .. :)

Beautiful detail in the bird's eye. I'm not sure if I'm loving the grain in the rest of the image, but this is great overall.

Stunning, a top pick in this challenge for me. Beautiful movement in the wings of the bird and the lighting and processing is brilliant. Very artistic and creative display here.
