 thought of using toddy .. but getting him to pose side-on looking into the distance is above our paygrade ..
fortunately i found this fly .. he's not the most beautiful fly but i feel the droplet makes up for that . !! .:)

The extra space does not have added value here, other than creating an off-centre composition. My eye would be on the fly also without the extra space.
