 Although the red on his head is most prominent you can see a little red on the lower part of his abdomen which is where he gets his name.
I wasn?t going to enter a bird picture in this one but the snow was so enticing I couldn?t resist. I love the woodpecker. He has such an interesting personality!

This is next on my bucket list. We have them but they are rarely seen at our feeder which is the only place I really shoot ;)

You’re so blessed to have so many wonderful birds in your backyard. I have a few too but not many colourful ones that you seem to get in USA.
