Thanks for all the constructive comments. I agree that the blade of grass at the bottom right is in the way, but I wanted it there to emphasize the relationships in the picture: blade of grass>dandilion>tree>jet trail. Again thanks for all the comments. |

I tried a similar shot, but didn't really like it. Would be nice if you could have caught a few seeds "Blowin in the Wind". Good shot! |

Nice DOF, well framed by forground grass on the right. |

great use of DOF in this shot. Think I'd prefer to see a little more sky, and have the subject further down in the picture |

Good color and clarity. Don't know if I'm for or against the dandelion being against the tree, but the blade of oof grass at R is way irritating. |

Very nice Focus and color. The blade of grass on the right is a little distracting to me. |

Nice focus. I think the photo would have more balance if the right side was cropped where the out of focus leaves are. The photo would probably end up as a 480x640 instead of 640x480 but it would have a little more impact. Overall, great job. |

Nice perspective and framing. The dandelion is very sharp! The blurry blades of grass in the foreground on the rigth are pretty distracting though. |

This is nice! The clarity on the dandilion is excellent. Looks like a Boeing slipped into your photo! Good job... |

i like this one because the dandy seems to be in between the blade of grass in the foreground and the tree in the background, nice creativity |

Good color & control DOF. However, could not relate much to the topic. |

What great focus you have in this picture! That dandelion is the focal point, and appropriately, it is in great great focus, while everything else has a nice blur to it. That's great use of manual focus, and not a lot of people seem to be as good at it, which is why I have to bring it up :) Nice framing, though I would have waited for the airplane trail to dissolve, if I could have, as it is somewhat distracting (on the minor, nitpicky level). Good shot, and one that I am sure will be among the top contenders this week. |

OK, this photo breaks all the rules of compositon yet somehow it works very well. I think it's the nearly horizontal line of the contrail in the sky that brings my eye back into to picture and keeps me looking at the subject. Bravo on an unusually terrific composition. |

The blades of grass on the right are distracting. Other than this its a great photo. Might have been nicer if the background was all blue sky. |

I like the composition and nice bright blue sky. The airplane line on the background is unfortunate. |

Nice depth of field, but the blade on the right is distracting. Maybe cropping it vertically and just the left side would have been stronger ? |
