This was before I discovered the unsharp mask. Somehow when I have to resize my pictures to fit the resolution limits the all look blurry when they are not. Any suggestions?

I like the idea and the simplicity, but I think a shot like this has to be technically perfect since it is so simple. The focus is a bit too soft and lighting a bit too harsh for my taste.

I would have liked to seen a little more light on the chains to help draw them even more from the background and bring out a little of their detail.

This works way better as thumbnail, where it's quite striking. Suffers only from lack of sharpness on chain, anmd a little blocking of the dark areas.

For me the focus seems just a bit soft.

Nice picture, although you might need another appuratus to like a pulley to actually call this a machine.
