1) i can see now that this is more of a photojournalistic photo than a stock photo, and what a stock photo should be is clearer to me now than before.
2) i think there is 'grade-inflation' in the members only voting arena, because i thought my 'honeymoon hell' photo was much better than this one. that said, my honeymoon hell photo was placed in the middle of the pack while this one placed very much in the end . . .
thanks for all your comments. |

An interesting photojournalistic image, although it's very washed out. It needs the contrast to be boosted a bit, or the levels tweaking.
I don't think it works as a stock photo though. |

I like how the lines you've inferred lead the eye around. You certainly have an interesting and useable subject. You might try fiddling wi th more contrast to get more darks. A starker images might be a more appropriate choice here. |

Good shot that would work for stock. Seem a little soft on focus though. |

Oh boy, snow!! We've had our share. Looks like a photojournalism type pic. I think honestly its a little too dark tho. Snow is indeed white and as bad as we tend to want to tone it down so the dpc voters dont cry "washed out", its still white and I believe it should be represented that way. |

I feel this picture falls under the photo journalism end of things more than something that you could get the whole country to buy. just my opinion! 5 |

Wow, that's a lot of snow. Needs a bit more contrast, the whites aren't quite white and the blacks aren't quite black. |

The title certainly fits this image. Oh I'd hate it if it were me stuck there like that. You have certainly captured this shot well. Composition and subject/s is very well achieved too. GL. |

I've probably seen too much of this lately, but it certainly illustrates how a storm can paralyze a city. Maybe it's my monitor, but I think the snow is a little too white and devoid of detail. |

Pretty incredible amount of snow, not so incredible effect as a picture. I think this would have been really nice if you'd upped the contrast a bit. |
