Pretty! I think I would have either cropped it in closer, concentrating almost 100% on the flower and leaving out most of the background - or had it out a little more, increasing the background and placing the flower more in it's element. I guess I'm saying that I would change the composition. It's a lovely flower and a great subject to shoot.
You might also consider bumping up the saturation just a bit, but not over doing it. The nice thing about flowers is that they don't get bored...take many shots from different angles and lighting. Sometimes even backlighting on the petals looks cool. Thanks for sharing!

ok, please bear with me. voting this challenge is extremely difficult, not just because of the size, but because we are dealing with images that people consider their best. it makes even constructive criticism hard...
you have a nice picture of a flower. but, as presented here, it doesn't do anything to grab me and wow me. on the other hand, if you had put the camera down on the ground and shot this looking it, you would have produced a unique, attention grabbing image. i hope you are getting some good comments, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this super-sized challenge. if you aren't getting what you expected or wanted, please don't take it personally. maybe just consider it a starting point for the rest of the year. good luck with this and the challenges yet to come! |

Very pretty flower - I'd recommend a shallower dof though to isolate it from the background a little better. |

Looks like morning or evening light you have captured upon this flower. Perfectly centered composition (but I also wonder what this would have looked like in the different quadrants). |

I think adjusting the whites to be whiter, and pushing the saturation a little would strengthen this image. Maybe shooting with a wider aperature to shorten the DOF would be nice too. Sharp focus, nice work. |

Image appears flat and "yellow." In PSP8 (my photoshop tool), I would have done a fade correction and tried to enhance the colours. Good Luck. |
