Great use of B&W for this shot. Perspecive from above works well here. So was she scared sitting there? I would be! ((7))

I think the stop-motion on the water works better than the recently popular soft flowing look, adding to the tension and interest in the photo.

Great perspective, nice composition. Would be more impactful if we could see the eyes.

i don't mind heights, but shots like this give me the willies...
very interesting image. i hope this doesn't get overlooked in this monster challenge, and that viewers will give it the time necessary to appreciate it. good luck in this challenge, and in 2005, as well!

At first glance, one doesn't immediately get the sense of perspective here. After looking at this for a while, it really becomes apparent how much distance there is behind her. Quite an optical illusion, given the wide open DOF. Well done.

Nice unusual viewpoint.

Interesting point of view. I like the choice of B&W as it seems to hold the elements of the image together. Her expression seems a bit random, as if you said "hold it!" and snapped the photo--just a bit awkward, to me.

I usually like B&W photo but this one doesn't look as crisp as it should. I find it to have a very hazey feel to it. It's also no a shot that I would consider hanging on a wall. To me it just looks like a memory for a scrap book that you can reflect on with fond memories. Good luck and keep up the good work in 2005.

Good angle...I would have preferred the focus on the person.
