Hello Alexis.

You've take a beautiful photograph, but you have to keep an eye on your horizon and keep it leveled out.

Is the concrete Pier your leading line? Is it leading out to the Sailboats? Or are the Sailboats leading out to the Pier? You have to ask yourself this question, and perhaps move your camera around to get the shot that is intended. I'm not sure at this time that your photograph would really fit into the Challenge of Leading Lines.

Also, with the sailboats, the are moving around this area all the time, but perhaps you could have waited 5 minutes until that larger boat beyond the concrete breakwater/pier moved out of your way before taking your shot?

I believe your composition is well enough using the rule of 3rds, but I would have told that closest sailboat (to shore) to move further to the right before taking the picture :}(this is my sense of humor)

Photo is sharp at the flowers and grass and then fades out just past the 1st sailboat. . .
Colours of the flowers and grass are nice and rich
I like the ocean blue, but think I may have added a bit of blue and
may have done something with the sky - it seems just a bit too bright?

Finally: I like your work. It's a lovely photograph. You've used some imagination in obtaining this shot. Keep up the good work and continue doing what you're doing, one day everything is going to come together just fine and you'll start to receive 10's! !
Regards,
Ed

I guess you could call this leading lines. The boats create an imaginary line that leads my eyes to the end of that cement thing. Very pleasing to look at because of the beautiful green grass in the forground.

might be stronger if you'd gotten down closer to the flowers - also with this kind of shot the sligh tilt to the horizon is pretty disconcerting

The lines are very subtle here but here nonetheless and they do a good job. I would like to see the horizon level, though.

The DOF seems to hit just in front of the first boat and captures the water. I think more focus on the foreground (flowers) and then the pier leads you out to the boats, even if a bit fuzzy

Very nice but almost looks like a postcard

The sky is terrible. Sometimes using Unsharp Mask too much or other filters will cause this. Remember, garbage in, garbage out.

I thought this was lovely. It would have been awful without that brown thingy sticking out into the sea, but with the brown thingy there it really makes a great photo. It is well composed using the rule of thirds. The colours are great and the greenery of foreground adds interest. Very nice indeed.

This is a nice landscape, but I don't really see a leading line... there are some lines in the photo but they aren't leading the viewer to any subject of point of interest in the scene... - setzler
