I doubt anyone's ever gonna read this but here goes. This was a very tough choice. I had a couple pics I really liked. I submitted the other one first but then changed my mind and submitted this. This is gonna be a very tough challenge so I'm submitting knowing that I'm not gonna win or even come close, I'm simply submitting because I love this picture and why not? I have nothing to lose.

Nice perspective and composition- looks like some more detail could be brought out on the cliffs.

Very good composition and a great choice for B&W. ((8))

Beautiful shot, but I would really like to see what such a view was like in color

beautiful image, but not sure about the choice of bw. some of the detail is blown out and there isn't enough contrast in other parts for me to fully appreciate what you've captured. good luck with the rest of the voters, but a 6 is the best i can do here.

The composition is the strengt of this photograph. The lines of the hills take you from the bottom, up and to the right. The boats in the water add some interest to that space and give a scale reference. The blowout brightness at the top prevents the eye from leaving the scene. On the other hand, the brightness on the rocks is a bit too much and there are few shadows. Earlier or later in the day might yield better contrasts. 7

A beautiful costal shot but the contrast off the rock face is very hard to look at because of the brightness. If I stand back and look its a very nice photo and lots of detail. Well done and keep up the good work in 2005. <7>

It feels like it's a tad oversharpened. Mostly in the rocks on the side, but even the water feels a bit hard. You can see the effects of the sharpening by looking at the white "halo effect" that lines the top left edge of the rock at the right.

Ah, the Isle of Capri -- brings back some fun memories of my visit there (not to mention I have some very identical photos!)

A fantastic landscape / seascape. Looks extremely familiar too. Is this near Procida? Very beautiful work.

Beautiful image and great focus. I usually love B&W, but I would love to see this image in colour, may have voted higher than I did. Great shot.

I think I would have liked to have seen this in color.

Sheesh - clicked vote on the image before this, turned away and when I turned back this was here. I think you know by now this image is a ten from me. Tremendous subject, the monochrome suits in perfectly. The sailboat in the bottom corner completes the composition. Not sure whether the boat in the middle wouldn't have been better cloned out, but that is a minor gripe. Well done.
