Bridge perspective
By rogerspaul
Critique by Silver Fox

I think the composition is fine and the photograph fit the Challenge okay.

It was a long depth of field with the length of the bridge and gives a good visual appeal with your dog prancing towards you like he̢۪s doing.

You got a low angle in your photo that gives a different perspective to your photograph and shows that you have some imagination and creativeness in you.

The problem is that you seem to be out of focus on the decking and on the dog, what happened here? See the branches on the left? Perhaps moving in on your subject (dog) a little more would have taken them out of the photo altogether and allowed you to focus more on your dog.

Overall, you̢۪ve got the makings of a good photograph but your finishing score of 4.8 tells you that you made some mistakes.

Correct them, go out, take more photos, clean them up, enter more Challenges, have yourself some fun, and let̢۪s watch your score move up higher.

Regards,
Ed

The lines and the dog make this bridge very interesting. It is out of focus, though, and could use more contrasts to increase the tone and drama.

Wow, this is so cute to see that dog come walking along the bridge like this. You did a nice job of taking this picture, getting low down to the deck where you need to be. Really good job.

Love your angle- feels like I'm there! Is that a person behind the dog? You might have wanted him to get a little closer before snapping this shot. Still very cool, and I do love the perspective.

Nice perspective, but the woman is distracting.

I wish the dog was closer and the person wasn't in the photo. Very nice idea!!

if you had increased the saturation in post processing would the green on the trees come out a bit more?
