I took 86 images, this was the 27th
I used the PC screen to display the background, then placed a tower shaped salt cellar directly in front of screen
The Tower was illuminated with two small flashlights to focus light without affecting background.
Reflection of one of the flashlights caused a cog like image top left of tower, this was accidental, but I liked the effect, so chose this image.
Rotated image to bring Tower vertical.
Then I used Selective Colour to adjust background , Colour Balance to bring a more golden feel to the Tower, then hit Auto Colour and liked the outcome.
Followed by some USM, Crop, and reduced to 640dpi then save for web
I wish I could reduce the hot spot on the leading point on top of the tower.
I tried putting a fairy light inside the tower to shine out the holes at the top, but this did not look as good.
Hope you like the outcome.
No fancy lenses or filters; no clever Photoshoping; just a very simple camera. |

How did you get the background to look like that? |

The background is very cool, the color and texture is well represented but the overall composition isn't all that interesting. 5 |
