ok, please bear with me. voting this challenge is extremely difficult, not just because of the size, but because we are dealing with images that people consider their best. it makes even constructive criticism hard...

for all intents and purposes, this is a snapshot documentary image of one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. the question is not how this is going to score, but how would you shoot this subject again if you could go back next december? the answer to that depends on how hard you push yourself to learn about your camera, composing images before you click, and processing them once you have them on your computer. this is a great place to learn all these things, but you will have to also put up some of the silliness and less-than-tactful comments that come with a large, disparate community.

if you aren't happy with how this image is received, please don't take it personally. just look at it as a starting point for where you can go. i hope you're getting some good comments and suggestions. good luck in this and the coming challenges!

Nice, but too dead center for me, I would prefer the tower more to the right. good exposure.

Gorgeous picture! Poster quality. I think it would be even more striking if it were cropped a little more on the sides making the tower really stand out. But that's probably just my personal tastes. I still give it an easy 9+++++ :)

Very pretty. I think this might have worked better in a portrait orientation. It might just be me, but the horizon looks a half a degree off. Though, as I said, very pretty. 7

Tilted just a bit to the right. Lovely image though!

The light from the top of the tower is what grabbed me in this photo. I wonder how the image would look if the towere were off center and cropped on one side?

the only change that i would make to this picture is to crop out the glowing building to the left.
