Great composition and subject matter. Lighting and detail are good, rich in color without being over-saturated while maintaining the hazy look to the background. ((8)) |

Interesting, nice composition. I like the contrast of the brightly colored foreground ships compared to the muted background. Bumping one. |

I love fog photos! This is a great one with wonderful silhouettes in the background, and great composition. I wish the boats were a bit more sharp and colourful, but I know how difficult it is to take good shot in fog. Your photo makes me wonder aboaut these boats: why are they on the shore, what's happening. IMHO, a good photo makes people think and yours has made me. :-) |

low tide?!? looks more like 'no tide' is that mist, or is it dust? ay-yi-yi. what a wild, interesting image. it really takes a while to work through, and i hope viewers are giving it the time it deserves--otherwise, they are really missing out! good luck with the challenge! |

Back to comment...
I`ve been agonising over this image for a few days as I don`t know if I prefer it with the two boats or whether it would have had more impact (for me) with just figures in the foreground...I`m just looking for icing on the cake as with or without, it is still a great image |

this image really is one of two halves... the background (i.e buildings through the mist) could not be better, the foreground, through no fault of your own detracts somewhat from the mood of the image due to the tacky colours of the boat, if only you could make your own scene, a couple of worn out wooden fishing boats would have done nicely :P. Still a seven on the strength of that background. |

Wonderful fog-shrouded background! The subject is interesting, a nice choice. My eye wanders trying to hold onto something, but fails. I keep thinking how that would change...something sharp, or well lit, or a different (lower?) point of view? |

yes very nice mist effect. Think portrait would have been more effective myself, but that's just me :D

Good picture. I would like personally to see it with just the boats. the background keeps me guesing for location. |
