 Pictured here is just a small part of this spectacular church in Lackawanna, NY. For an idea of its size, each of the angels shown here are 18 feet in height! Built in 1922-1926, the church embodied the vision of Father Nelson Baker, who at age 34, left a successful grain and feed business to become a Catholic Priest.

I replaced a dull gray sky with a "dusk-like" blue sky. Levels, USM, and contrast were then adjusted.

That sky looks awful dark for such a bright building. Makes the photo seem unnatural. I just doesn't feel right.

replaced the sky with a solid color? I prefer a gradient. I like the way the colors work together, it just doesn't feel naturl. Really nice shot of the building -

This is a nice treatment of a beautiful dome. I felt the bottom (non-dome) part of the building detracted from the impact, but when I tried the effect of other crops I couldn't do any better. 6.

The most interesting thing about this picture is the color. The roof dome looks like oxidized copper, but against the very dark blue sky it looks very surreal.
