There is an old dam in my town from the year 1921. Instead of tearing it down it was used as a foundation for a new modern looking bridge. You could say the past is the foundation of the present in this case. Hope you'll get it :)

The bridge its self doesn't make me want to jump out of my seat with excitement...however, this shot is very nicely done. focus and clarity are great, and the lighting conditions are also good. angle and framing/cropping are nice. I do wonder what the rest of this bridge looks like. you did a nice job of keeping your eye on the background to make sure the houses weren't leaning badly one way or another. technically well done. good luck in the challenge.

Well done. Several goos elements in here. The bright water, balanced with the dark space on the left. Build up of layers in the height. Leading line to the date 1921. The houses in the background are unfortunate, but not a major problem. I also have the sense for why this bridge is here.

I like how the water in this shot lead my eye to the all important sign that makes the shot make sense. Nice tones, too. Unappealing sky, however. You can't change the sky, but perhaps you can wait for more interesting light, or try a different perspective to minimize it.

A very nice 'Before and After' type shot. The lower portion of the photo is somewhat dark IMO, but I like the level of detail and framing.

It's seen a long life, hasn't it? Love the water flowing out of the pipe, the strength that it shows by it's fast flow. . . the color you've got in the rocks and the concrete and the steel. Nice photo.

I really like your composition, effective use of contrast and it is great to see motion in your shot, as very few other images have an inherant motion element to them. Like the sepia tones you have used as well. Great work!

I may have left this color, for the present-ness of it.
