this was supposed to be a SPOOFon Absolut Vodka ads. many people passed comments on how the trademark bottle was not apparent in my photo. I had no bottles on hand so I resorted to this plastic cup - of which is what they serve alcoholic beverages in when you go clubbing (maybe it's different from where you're from) . the main idea was to portray alcoholism - drowning in your drink.. hoping to be rescued from your pathetic sorrows.. etc. i must admit that the technical side of my photo is not perfect. que se foda. |

Eh. I seen no absolute, just an odd setup with 2 hands. |

Not familiar with the product, doesn't sell its self. Backgroun busy. |

Interesting photo. I'm just not sure what is for sale. |

Props on the concept, execution seems based on convenice rather than perfection. |

whats the product? hands? water? vodka? the glass? glare on glass very frustrating |

The backdrop and idea are very good. The glare at the top, though, is distracting. |

no, this doesn't work...the beads of water or whatever all over the glass are distracting, and if you are going to use absolut, there has to be some resemblence of a bottle somewhere |

Interesting subjects and arrangement, but doesn't really follow the Absolut theme without the bottle. Holding a white card between the lightsource and the glass might have toned down those reflections, and another angle would probably be more interesting. |

what? sure can't tell what is being advertised here. maybe the title helps some but sorry, titles don't count |

I dont know if you can get one for your camera but a polarizing filter would have cut down on the reflection and might not have let you be as visible. |

Drinking and driving don't mix advertising? Did you try to center the glass? Cool background. :) Ok, Absolut is a drink. Hmmm....still don't get it. I'll be back. |

I would like to have seen the top of the glass! |
|
|
05/07/2002 04:34:00 PM |
What are you selling? Don't see the connection to ABSOLUT. |
|
|
05/07/2002 11:03:00 AM |
Hm. I'm not sure I'm inspired to buy absolut. A less obtrusive background would maybe have improved the photo, as well as not cutting off the top of the glass. |

My feeling is that the title shouldn't make the picture fit the challenge if the image doesn't. kind of a surreal idea but I don't think the image does sell the idea of the advert |

Hmm, the subject is kinda grotesque, the backdrop is a dull brownish-grey, the lighting doesn't seem to have any purpose.... sigh. |

You're selling hands, right? |

|

Don't get it. What are we selling here? What is it that is supposed to appeal to me. |

Highly creative photo! Most inventive boozer shot, but less than effective advertisement. Photo 10 Advert 5 Creativity 10 total 8 |

This is a cool idea but without the title, I have no clue what I am buying... The picture does not show me the product... Creativity scores very well here though !! |

Cool looking hands but I don't see the product your selling. |

Where is the Absolut? The flash is too harsh and your backdrop has too much going on with it which distracts from the foreground. Biggest problem I have is that you are trying to mimic an Absolut ad but you left out the Absolut bottle. |

Where is the product label? I like those hands alot. I want to own them :) |
