After many attempts at drinking off the top to make room for more, I really started having fun! With the shot taken outside and my one and only beer glass not being level itself, made levelling a real challenge. If I had shot another 20 shots, I may have been level myself. I really had fun with this one, but wasn't drinking JR! |

Cold beer, cowboy hats, and doilies? |

Nice little setup, though there's an odd tilt / slight angle problem. |

Nice clear picture which tells about and sells the product. |

Have a hidden stash of Billy Beer anywhere? (Or maybe a Reggie Bar?)
I like lacy patterns in general, but I'm not sue it goes so well with Texas beer |

Well done. The beer looks good. |

Would have been a good photo had it been straight!!The whole image is slanting right |

I suppose that black space would be good for putting copy, but for posting here I'd like to see the composition tighter. It isn't really necessary to show all of the hat - just enough to make it recognizeable. Looks like both your table and tripod were not level, which makes for a very after-several-beers feeling in the viewer. |

...all our beer is passed by Mr Ewing himself." Well it certainly looks like it. Nicely shot though, like the strond contrast background. |

damn straight, and if this photo wasn't tilted it would have been great |

The contrast of the hat and the black background is nice, and I like the texture the "tablecloth" gives to the picture. Is it just me or is the mug and can tilted slightly to the right? Kinda makes it feel lke it is going to slide off of the table. Also, cropped a little to tightly on the right side. |

Very nice and sharp, and good lighting. I like the hat creating a country feel, but I'm not so sure about the lacy table cloth you've used ... doesn't really sit right in my mind. The beer seems a little tilted too. |

Very good ! **Humming the theme song to Dallas** |

Nice, but I don't like how it is skewed. I also think the hat competes with the beer a little to much. Maybe if you could have blurred it someone. |

Well exposed shot. Nice and sharp. The lace background seems to be quite distracting for this type of shot to my eye. Good effort, I rated this photo high. |

The table cloth is very distracting as it is in strong contrast against the black background. |

The lighting is nice, but somehow a lace tablecloth seems inappropriate. The camera angle is a bit awkward, too. |

Haven't seen a whole lot of cowboys with doilies around the house! :) |

Best beer ad of the chalenge! It looks appetizing and really has a "Western" feel to it. I even like the lace! |

Great shot! The glass looks so cold and frosty! I like the contrast of the white table cloth with the black background. LIghting, focusing and composition, excellent! The only nit-picky thing I can say is the black cloth in the back is a little wrinkled, but I still rate it high! |

Good concept, there are several improvements that could be made: 1) level the horizon line, 2) put more light on the product, 3) light the beer from behind to make it look wetter (this can be done with a mirror behind the glass turned at a 45 degree angle and light thrown into it), 3) frost the mug before shooting, 4) be ready to trip the shutter immediately after dumping a full can of beer into the glass to catch the head bubbling up over the rim. Beer is hard to shoot and you did a pretty good job of catching it foaming up, but it needs to be more to sell. |

JR beer, what a hoot! and why the unopened can? i think the 'ad' would say a lot more if the can that was used to fill the mug was next to it, also think the hat placed on the table, as if one could barely wait to remove the hat before refreshing oneself, works better than it does propped up... |

Good photo. Beer was very popular! Better "gotcha" value than many. Photo 9 Advert 9 Creativity 8 total 9 |

Not too bad. I would of liked the can lit up so that it's not just a black hole with JR in the center. Also the hat looks too flat, maybe tilted up higher or up against the can? |

Who are you trying to appeal with beer, cowboy hats and doilies? |

I like the composition on this photograph. I can tell that a lot of people put a lot of thought into this challenge. "Don't Mess with Texas!"

strangely tilted. also, try lighting from the side to bring out the shapes of the objects. |

This is great---including the white doilly on the table--realistic. Just got home, time to sit down and have a JR beer. |
