i was trying to do something like this for me submission, but my idea didn't turn out so well so i didn't enter. however this was the idea that i was going for. the texture is amazing, also very good call on no color. I am also glad that you focused on the eyes because that is what could make or break the picture, you did it brillently, 10. |

This is absolutely fantastic and original..you look like an Egyptian mummy..but the effect and the play on words in the title are a very unique combination. Back to revisit this shot..wow, it is still my favorite..9 |

I like the mud layer, adds texture, the tones are great, they draw focus to your eyes. A overall well image, still a 9, but really close to 10 :)
This isn't you Gary? Cause I think it is.. If so, great to see you enter a challenge agains since smoke!!

Pretty cool idea, and well executed and it´s got a nice depth because of good lighting. What I am trying to say is that I think it´s technically very well done but it doesn´t really grab at my attention as maybe it could have done but very nice work, I gave it an 8. |

This is, by far, the best of the challenge. This receives my highest marks in everything. The body paint is a great texture and the tone compliments the mood perfectly. The lighting is great as I can see it was probably done with a large softbox judging by the catchlights in your eye. The DOF is really striking and makes the shot nearly three dimensional in relationship to the angle at which it was taken. This is a WOW in my book and an immediate favorite. I am at a little bit of a loss for words because I really think that this is a superb photograph. Congratulations on a fine job --- you are inspiring... :::(rolls tongue back into mouth)::: |
