Didn't vote but was looking over a friend's shoulder while he did and this was one of my absolute favourites... he thought I was weird... I'm glad it ranked so highly as it's an unusual portrait yet very striking (to me).

WOW
I don't know what to say. I was dreaming about a ribbon whole night. But well, not this time. I's just so strange I didn't think much of that photo when I was doing it. Just a sudden idea while driving and yes taking photos.

And about the risk of beeing on the middle of the road. There wasn't so much risk since I saw just 4 or 5 cars while I was doing it and that was perhaps around 20 minutes.

I want to thank all the voters and those sixty something commenters who commented on my photo during the challenge.

But I think it is unfair to have a photo voted 7.3 something but no ribbon at all!

What an effect does this image conjure in the imagination. A great image. Congratulations on your 4th placing.

you brave soul
the background adds character and originality, not to mention a bit of texture from the road, very cool.

My favourite in the challenge. Nicely combining landscape and portraiture.

I does appear that your legs have dropped off though, I hope you find them again ; )

Sassy! Interesting take on portraiture. Love the way you make the centered composition work to advantage. Clean colors, wonderful texture--how could this be more perfect? Good luck in the challenge to one of my top picks.

I think you have a winner there. Excellent use of natural background really adds depth to a simple self-portriat. Nicely Done!

WOW. I think you did a great job with the wide angle perspective shot. The sky adds a lot of mood (cold), and the idea of lying in the road is brilliant. Other than the title, there is nothing negative about this image.

right on dude! great perspective! love how you cant see the legs and your horizon stretches. sky gives the picture a dark mood to go with that face.

10. (5 because love the composition and 5 because you laid down in the middle of the road in the freezing cold)

One of my favourites of the challenge. The perspective draws all the attention to the subject and provides a great contrast (cold surrounding, warm body).

Here's a road less travelled. Purposefully static, empty, and cold. A lonely soul in an empty , cold world. That's what I see. But wait, the subject is smirking. Okay, I'm confused. Well, I thought the snow should have been whiter, anyway.

My only complaint is that you could use a better title. This photo is magnificent!

This is indeed one of the most dynamic images in this challenge. The sensation is of a man flying. Had you extended your arms it would have completed the effect, but yes, this was not the intent. That is just my flight of fancy.

I am more than pleased with the effect and the image fits and exceeds the challenge. Funny, I thought I had a good image and have been humbled after looking at all these outstanding images. Bumping up another notch.

I like it...kinda seems like I'm being cheated because it's the elements of the landscape which I like about this photo. As far as a self-portrait, I'm not seeing much of a human element in this photo...but if I looked long enough, I might find it. I'm torn between giving it a 9 and giving it a 5...I might come back to this. In the meantime, it's a 7. Either way, great photo!

Wow, that does look cold! I usually don't like symetrical shots like this, but I do in this case. The dark sky and the frosted road create a very moody image. Your pose and expression are perfect. A smile just wouldn't work as well. Nicely done.

I'm giving you a ten for these reasons:

2. It's unique, the setting/environment is beautiful.
3. You're fucking brave! ahahah

Good luck! I hope this finishes up top :)
