I too loved this - I voted it an 8. It's got an ethereal vibe that, as Bod says, is quite difficult to define. Keep it up - buck the trends!

I think the lighting in this is fantastic, and I wouldn't get down about it at all! :) I think the low score is due to not being able to see your face in a portrait challenge.

I really like this. I'm not even going to try to explain why because I don't think I really know!
I think the edges of your head could do to be softer, it kind of stands out too much with strong edges. Otherwise this is faultless.

This a very cool almost surreal look. Many voters are not apt to show their appreciation, however, outside of the challenge it is great. Bumping up.

Eerie surreal and very creative. Like a lot. I will say it is not a photo to do well in these Challenges but it has an artistic quality and emotional impact that sets it apart. Good work.

Returning for comment. You had a good idea, but overall this image is just not at visually appealing as some of the other submissions to my eye. I can see...something, just not sure what. On the plus side - you took a risk and that's great!
