Thank you to everybody for your votes and comments :)

Just to let you know that it was not a toillet paper roll but a 10€ white vase that I bought specifically for this challenge ... If I'd known before I would have saved that money :P

Nice picture of the rose, but the "vase" ....

Neat light on white flower, but the toilet paper is distracting.

I love the detail fading into white but don't think the lower left stem blur adds much

IT looks as though it is sitting in a roll of toilet paper. Very beautiful photo 7

Nice, but a touch too dark

I'd have used a slightly smaller aperture so the entire head of the rose was in focus.

Sequential downloading is a spot reducer for my votes. I watch eagerly as an image slowly unfolds itself to me. Near perfection - a 9 or a 10? Then something annoying appears, which jars the soul - no more 9 or 10! In this case, I would crop away the entire bottom quarter. Losing the lowest petal makes this image more powerful.

I really like the perspective, with the blurred out stem and vase at the bottom. Cool!

Beautifully composed photograph. Certainly have met the challenge imo. Excellent DoF with a hint of the stem of the rose. Clarity is awesome as well. Nicely done and good luck in this weeks challenge.

I like this, but one thing getting to my imagination is that the rose is either in a vase or sticking out of a roll of toilet paper! 8
