| to me this is more of a black and white than a light color on white background as the challenge suggested. |

| I like your idea to do a soft focus, but it's a little bit too blurry for my taste. Not the checkerboard...it looks great, but I would have preferred the pieces have a bit more clarity and definition...especially the ones in the immediate foreground. |
