Ok here's the story of this little bulb. I saw this challenge and I was wondering what I could take to do this "Light on White" picture. This bulb was laying on the table and when I saw it I said... This is gonna be my "Light on White" Picture! So I took this bulb and I brought it in my room. Then I was looking for something white for the background. THERE WAS NOTHING WHITE!!! In the basement I have found a old piece of white satin. I also used my studio flash to over-expose. I did over 100 pictures of all the side and all different settings before I found the right one. Finally I did a little blur in photoshop. I also tryed to set different white balance to do color but I do not like the result.

Too bright, the bulb is getting washed out on my monitor.

Some may not like this. Clear is not a color. It is a bit bright but gives a feel of the bulb being illuminated. 7

You took on a very difficult subject to light well

This is a nice shot. I like the way the light bulb almost completely blends in with its background but at the same time you can see the outline of it. I think you captured the detail nicely. Good work.

overexposed and metal base is a little out of focus... if you had used a smaller aperture I think it might have fixed both problems

A little too high key for my taste. I'd like to see the details in the bulb.
