OK, a quick tip, you could of slung this thru photoshop and upped the levels a tiny bit, to make the background more white, would of also given the paperclips more pop.. Good idea but could of been post-processed a bit more.. 6
(although on seconds thoughts that may of over-exposed the center part of the photo.)

Nice use of the flash reflection. It adds a hint of life to an otherwise simple shot. Would love to see a little less grey, but all-in-all - not bad :)

I like how you turned the lemon (glare) into lemonade (sunburst at the center). The background didn't really turn out white, though.

It was a great idea and fits the theme well, but the light sourece is way too reflective. If the white was solid all across this would have done well. Having an object which lies so flat on the foreground makes it extremely difficult to adjust to separate the two. Keep up the good ideas!

with the glare the background doesn't really look all that white.

I like the idea but your background comes out very grey when it should be white. NOt sure if it was the white balance or if it was grey. I could have scored this better if the background was more white.
