bringing the stem in focus would be great

Great sharpness and good feel with the shallow depth of field. The backdrop has a small amount of creases in it, but if your tricky, you could tell people they are supposed to be rays of light! :D

Challenge: 10 great use of a light color on a white background
Technical: 8 I wish the right corner didnt have the shadow casting I hope its not on just my monitor.
Composition: 10 excellent DOF I like how the flower is in such good focus and the sharpness gives it an even better feeling of sense.
Appeal: 9 the shadow is throwing me off.
Overall: 9

This is very pretty, and simple. I like the composition, and give it a 10. Nice shot

Great choice of subject. The bloom itself is in a great crisp focus, and I find myself wishing the stem were also in focus--stop down the camera? Also it might have been worth a try to put a light behind the flower to even out the tones a bit and possibly avoid overexposing the petals at the bottom.
