I like the composition and the capture of the clouds, but wish it were a shade sharper.

Cool looking hills! It looks like your clouds are missing the white they used to have. and the valleys seem a little too dark on my monitor. When working with Curves, try splitting the line in half first, then adjust the top portion and the bottom portion seperately. Small changes.

tonal range of the sky is odd

This photo doesn't have that Ansel crispness with all the range of blacks to greys to whites punched in absolute clarity. Great setting for black & white.
