I'm with Neil on this one; I have other images from the same shoot that are done from an angle that has no glare, and they have no power at all. Without the brightness, we lose most of the sense of depth, the sense of "huge" contained in such a small slice of sand. |

I really like the abstract nature of this one! At first I didn't think the dark area should be included at the top, but after examining it longer, I see that it's essential. Lovely!
The "glare" from the overexposed area, IMHO is exactly the same as the dark area. It will bother people who look at parts of the photo and analyze them, but not those who look at the whole and see how the whole is greater than the sum of the parts (gestalt). |

I like it, however, the glare takes away from the incredible texture of the sand, especially the gull foot prints and "run off streams". Do you think a polarized lens would've helped?
