Not a setup shot. Discovered at an old wharf under a bridge.
Selective desaturation, gaussian blur, boosted sat and sharpened lines, resized.

Great choice re:colour-you have created beauty out of the ordinary! The background is perfect. Certainly one of my favourites in this challenge.

I don't think the desaturation adds anything to this. The ropes by themselves are good.

I'm not at all sure I like the de-sat here - and the ropes seem over-sharpened and exposed. i like the arbitrariness of the background in respect of the subject.

I am not to fond of the coloring, I would have really enjoyed it if it was all black and white

This is a really lovely image... the pixels and noise are a bit distracting though. One thing I do find with digital cameras is you have to watch your ISO settings. Try to set it at the lowest (50 or 100) and this pixel problem will probably go away. I really like the colours in this.
