My first entry with my new 20D.
I hope I remembered to set the date right :)
Shot with 300F4L. Wonderful lens.
Was fooling around with the camera for birdshots the day before and forgot to reset the ISO back from 800.

These rusty metal bits are of Epine GY-7 from Hull, England, which was shipwrecked on Djúpalónssandur on March 13th 1948. Only five out of crew of 19 were rescued and survived.

I do actually often relfect on junk, thinking that each tiny rivet and strand of steel was once made for a purpose, possibly by hand, and finally - this is where it ends up. Quite sad really. I like the tone and colour in this shot as well as the textures. It won't win awards necessarily, but it's well shot.

Nice shot, but it doesn't scream cemetery to me.

Not a bad picture, but does not say cemetery to me.

This is one of the better 'abstract' takes on the challenge. By that I mean not directly relating to cemetery - works well!

I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.

Great Bokeh, Sharp subject. but IMHO way off the subject. Just didn't feel this interpretation. 5

Just read the sory on NAT (Nordic Adventure Travel). Well done for submitting something different but this close crop doesnt really show me the "Final Resting Place" of the British Trawler. If the beach cove is as beautiful as it sounds why not step back a bit and show the wreckage in it's surroundings?

This is a very interesting take on the challenge, I am not sure how it will be judged by DPC community. I like the idea and the composition. Good job (10)

Nice composition, colors, focus and lighting. But I'm not sure how it meets the challenge.
