I get the feeling that the "controversial" comment might be from someone who is not English-speaking (no country listed). I had a hard time deciphering that "sentence" without any punctuation. When I did understand it, I felt the person was just making a comment in general, not judging you. Photographers take "controversial" photos all the time; it doesn't mean it's THEIR personal belief system. I don't believe in killing, but I'd probably take a photograph of a victim (and then puke - LOL)!
BTW - beautiful photo. I didn't vote in that challenge.

Actually, I also thought there would be at least several other Big Bangs in the challenge (not as similar as yours, of course :)) - so I was quite surprized that mine was the only one.

THis photo is so nice. I think it takes a good eye and creative mind to think this up. It looks like a supernova, with the little particles and everything. Instant fav. |

No offence by the way - you've done a great job. I was considering reshooting this, but in the end it it would have been just for the sake of it and I felt there'd be too many 'Big Bangs' in the challenge.
I had loads of ideas but as so often happens, I ran out of time.

Regarding one "faith-based" coumment - i did not expect this photo to be "controversial" (unlike my earlier entry), but apparently it was - look at the histogram of votes and the number of 1, 2's, and 3's! I think it is wrong to judge people beliefs in a photo contest - but what can you do....
Anyway, I am sorry if my photo offendend anyone, it did not mean to.
And of course - thanks to all for many very nice comments! Always appreciated.

Nice use of props (fiber optics). I would have cropped out the lower right corner. |

Now THAT's a very clever use of a prop. I used to have one of those as a kid (did you use it for the 70's challenge?) Nice job of capturing the light without blowing it out. Hope this ribbons. 9 Would have given you a ten if the blue arc wasn't showing in the bottom right corner. |

I was looking to show the "Big Bang" myself. The lighting is good here and it took a bit for me to realize how you did this. Nice job. |

Cool! I love fiber optic stuff. Nice idea to put it on a red surface to off-set the blue. Creative idea! |

That does look like a big bang, or a micro fibre light. Not sure which...
nice pic - sharp etc. But missing that vital "x" factor for me. |
