 This is a pretty loose interpretation of the challenge but it's message means alot to me. I'm not sure if it will translate to the international crowd .... so we'll see how it goes.

Even someone unfamiliar with the Statue's symbolism would find this stunning. I thought I'd already commented on it. Lovely fogginess with the sun as one beacon and she as the other.

This is underated in my opinion. probablt one of the best SoL photo's I've seen. Way outside of the ordinary. Beautiful work.

This is a nice image. I love how the subject looks dark. I also like how bright it is behind the head of the subject. nice work.

Beautiful. Love the colours (or lack of colors). Really have to look closely to determine if this is not a B&W. One of my favourites. (and I'm not even American)

Stunning composition, like the negative space. Dark tone with a hint of light suggests the feeling of dawn, new beginnings, title adds to it. High emotional impact. Like the border also.

I'm sure this image strikes some people more strongly then it does me, because they have lived seeing this for the first time as they began a new life. To me it's a beautiful image, with great meaning, I honestly don't truely understand, because I have lived in this great nation all my life. Great idea, and original idea...that always is good for some extra credit. Very nice image <8>

Very creative picture!...I Love the way you can see the shape of the statue of liberty and then the picture fades and it looks gloomy and dark. Nice picture/
