Shot in a pie plate with Folgers grounds & I sprinked on Starbucks whole beans for good measure. =o

That must be the coarse grind! I think this was a fitting call to the challenge of in the beginning. The colors and focus are very good. I don't care too much for the mixing of the beans and grounds. I would like to see this with the beans and ground coffee side by side. Touching, but separate. 8

Lettering on the spoon grabs my attention more than the coffee beans.

NIce detail and lighting in the shot. The placement of the utensil tends to take the eye out of the shot, whicle the whoel beans balnce to draw it back in. Interesting movement.

For me the end of the handle is somewhat distracting, but I love the detail in the beans and ground.

yes - coffee. Excellent. Nice exposure (though a spoon without writing on it would have been less distracting).

I can almost smell it. I think I would have preferred not seeing the handle of the scoop, though, or maybe no scoop at all.
