I think this placed fine (congratulations)! To me the eyes just don't seem tack sharp (perhaps a bit OOF or some motion blur). This was a great score, but with a bit more sharpness, this may have hit top 10. But there was a tough field of contenders! |

Puka has his claws out and ready to go, LOL! This is a great shot, the feel, the eyes, the composition. Only two tiny things that kept it from being perfect for me, the really close crop on the one foo, would have liked to see a little red on the bottom there and the shadow on the left eye, the highlights are wonderful but that shadow bothers me for some odd reason. As is a 9 |

For a single light source this is pretty good considering the strength of the cute model. The composition is pretty good excepting that the front paw should have been totally in the image and with a little breathing space. It was certainly a good move to use the red cloth as this helps to frame the pet. An image like this can benefit greatly by the use of multiple lights. There is also an uncertainty about the focus. Note that the catchlights in the eyes are not crisp and this is where the viewers eyes examine. Note also that the limited light fails to add texture to the paws. To conclude, a strong composition minus a point for clipping the claw, another point off for lack of crispness in the catchlights and another point off for the single light source. Total score is 6. However, this could have easily been a 7+ becaise the model is so relaxed. Bunping from 5 to 6. |

Nice colours!
Only thing is the fact that the framing is a tad off, but except from that it's a nice pussy shot ;) |

I like the red it adds to the color of the cats coat and brings out those nice blue eyes. |

What a look! Great picture, love the red background. It's too bad that little bit of his left front foot got cropped off. |
