Cool snake, I love snakes, used to hate them but only because my mother did, a snake never did anything to me!

This is a nice picture but not really a portrait to me. You are looking all over the place for the subject's head and the background is very distracting. Also the lighting is a bit harsh for this shot and the DOF doesn't really work well, part of the snake fuzzy, part clear. A 6

The snake is mostly out of focus and the ground and grass in the upper right are in focus. I would have kept trying to improve this shot when it was taken.

The contrast between the snake color and surface is nice, but overshot is a little out of focus

Would have been better taken at the snakes level.

Pity about the blur, head is in focus though saves the day......

He seems to have almost tied himself in a knot lol. The front of the snake seems out of focus to me and overall it's not a very interesting shot in my opinion, seems more of a snapshot to me than a portrait...sorry.

I love your subject, but the photo is not the best it could be. There is very little in focus, the head and eyes are not. A bigger depth of field would have made it easier to get more into focus.

head is out of focus... looks like you missed with the autofocus and hit the body instead. I might also have cloned out the thing in the top right corner or rotated the picture to be able to crop it out.

I'm not giving this the best score...I love snakes, but the photo isn't top notch. Focus problems, boring composition, etc. I just wanted to come in and say it's a cute snake :)
