I'm a fern fan and I like this very much. It does seem a bit soft focus (the problem I have with ferns as well) and the background is a bit busy. But I love the shape, color and the brown fringe along the back of the frond.

Seems a little soft for my taste. I would expect a macro like this to be very crisp

excellent composition, nicely seen. could stand to be a tad sharper, but i imagine it looks just fine large. love the colors. really love how this gives the feeling of spring making a sleepy wake up stretch. hope this does well for you. good luck!

I like this photo. You did a good job with DOF... very abstracty. The golden accents on the fern really add a lot.

Nice subject for a macro. I think that the background is too distracting. Try bringing along a piece of black velvet or foamcore to put behind your subject, essentially a portable background.

extremly interesting subject.. just wish it was sharp clear and focused... I don;t really like the soft touch here wqith such a detailed subject
