Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi JJ...
Your composition and symmetry on this photo are both fine... no problems... the subtle color and toning of this photo also work very nicely. I don't really know how to comment effectively on this photo. I suppose that, subjectively, the photo doesn't intrigue or inspire me. It's a perfectly executed shot, but I can't get excited about what I see. Based on the final score of this image, I would believe that this may be the primary problem.
I really enjoy viewing your photos... Keep up the great work :)

i saw the symmetry but just didn't find the picture very compelling (which is just a way of me saying i can't tell you why i didn't like it). did you consider submitting it in b&W? i just took a look at it that way and thought that it captured your lighting much better, and it removes the distraction of the brown floor tiles by turning them into a complimentary dark/light pattern to the side. |

Lovely light and an interesting subject for the shot. Would be interested to know why you chose this. 8 - floyd |

the angle and the flooring don't fit the symmetry... |

Fabulous job taking ordinary items and making an extraordinary shot! Your desaturated colors and subdued tones work very well in creating a feeling with this shot. |

A shame about the burn-out on the far container - looking at the diffusion of the shadows I'd guess this was natural light, so tricky to deal with I suppose. The only poor element though. |

Yeah, your a better photographer than me. I'm just a little dabbler compared to you. Lighting is brilliant. You have a great eye. Great work! |
