This image is too artistic for the current DPC voters. They want very little compromise with focus. The image is pleasant.

Thank you for submitting your photo to the DPChallenge, Free Study VIII.

Good landscape capture. The reflections are very interesting. The colors and lighting paint a serene mood. The softness in the image also gives it a dreamlike appeal. I am sure that the photo was not intended as angle shot, but the reflections give it a left to right dominance.

It appears to be a bit over processed. The lighting in the background reaches the foreground toward the middle of the frame. The sky in this image has no real color. It is very neutral and bland. I like the reflections in the water a lot. It's not often that you find this type of dominating shadow cast in landscapes.

Technically, it is well done. If you were after a soft dreamlike imagery. This type of photo creates a lot of reactions. You certainly are willing to put it on the line.

Good luck on your next DPChallenge.

Composition and color might work for me, but overall the photo is to soft and fuzzy for my tastes. (Did you apply some sort of filter?)

Great dreamlike quality to it, shame the left hand side is a so dark, but i nice capture all the same. look like a nice place.

sorry, but my initial reaction is that this is just too over-processed for my taste. it's fine as a piece of artwork, but as a photograph, it doesn't really reach me. i can't say if it's the blown out sky or how close to centered the horizon is, or if it's just the overall softness. i'm sure it was a wonderful moment to experience, and that your processing is right in line with what you envisioned creating when you snapped it, but, all the same, it doesn't flip me (probably the same way my blurry taxis don't appeal to my wife). but, i'm just one opinion, and, as long as you like it, nothing else really matters.

Very nice dreamy effect, would like to see more detail in the sky to match the water.

I think you were going for an impressionist image, but for some reason it just does not work for me, I wish I could see this same photo in sharp detail.

I can't see any part that is in focus and thus not one of my favorites.

Wow! I love it! Please PM me afterwards and let me know what you did for post-processing... I would love to know! Great job!!! I only wish there was some color in the sky... but that so minor.

overprocessed and too soft

I like this shot, even the soft focus is nice, but approaches being a bit distracting to my eyes. Just a touch more sharp on the trees would be nice.

Colors are nice. Clarity is the issue with me.

too soft. Great subject. Needs more color in sky. A little work on this and it will be great.

If this was intentional soft focus, it didn't work for me. I think I would have liked it if it was sharp.
