Really lovely. I love the softness and shallow DOF.

I really really like the shallow DOF! I think the overall photo could do with a little more contrast but I do like this a lot the way it is. 9

Good detail in the center. Soft focus in the petals supports the sharper focus. Black and white works surprising well for this shot. Good job. .

Simple, but very nice. This is a great use of black and white. This would look very nice as a print. Good job.

i like this photo, it has a spooky feel to me. it is truly a work of art. i like the way the depth of field moves in and out across the photo

A bit striking for a Black and White photograph. Nice focus and lighting, good detail.

Soft focus and too dark!

Critique: underexposed, not quite enough of the subject in focus (not enough depth of focus). Some petals are sharp while other are not.
Praise: Great tonality here and lots to keep my eyes looking through the image. Overall this is a good entry.

I wold like to see more light in this photo, and a little more focus. Still a good photo

fabulous detail. the black and white brings it out, and the selective dof works great.

This is a bit too dark........Your lens and focus is just amazing...I only wish it was a bit lighter. Good work .....the best I've seen so far. A true MACRO!!!!! Congrats.

Wonderful focus and nice tones. I'm partial to b/w flower shots that bring out the beauty of the form of the flower, rather than focus on the flower's color, as so many do. The softness is gorgeous. I prefer for the tones in b/w shots to run from true black to true white, but somehow the muted grays work really well with this. 9

Nice. Needs more contrast, I think.

Love the movements, greatly achieve especially in b/w!
