the question is, would you eat a fish that you caught out of a river that was that color. dynamic shot, though it seems like two shots, one on top of the other |

And I thought that the Missouri river looked murky. A narrower DOF would have made the fisherman a more prominent element of the image. I'm not sure how intentional this was, but both the placement of the horizon and the color palate seems to divide this into two images: the lighter, cooler colors above the midline and the darker, warmer colors below. The rust on the bridge complements the colors in the bottom half of the image, but the lower section doesn't seem to reciprocate. I think that the composition would be stronger if there were traces of blue in the bottom of the image (the man's shorts, for example). |

The weight of the bridge and the river make it hard for me to see the person as the focus of the picture. 5 |

This filled up the frame and kept the subject in size. |

this is another of those really nice shots but not quite what i interpreted the challenge to be...too much giong on to distract the eye from the subject...maybe if the bridge had been cropped out leaving just the water and dock which could blend together |

I like it. I wish the challenge rules would have allowed to to clone out that front post. |

Looks to me like you are taking a picture on of the bridge, and the guy in the picture is just being used as a minimal object. This shot doesn't really work for me, in this challenge. |

Lacks the simplicity and elegance I associate with minimalism, but nice all the same |

The problem here is the huge bridge which isn't at all minimalistic now is it? |

I'm sure water color is true but looks like our muddy water.. the post closest to viewer gets more of my focus than anything in this shot...gl |
