The boat seems to be very much out of focus. |

The focus is rather soft and the horizon appears to be a bit uneven. |

Great use of minimalism. My only complaint and I'm sure you've heard this quite a bit, is that the horizon isn't straight and the ship is out of focus. Other than that, nice job. |

this could have been a good picture... you should have balanced the horizon a little maybe... if it wasnt blurry it would also improve the mood... nice idea and try however... |

out of focus, horizon not level.
that big amount of sky is not doing anything for the photo. |

well its out of focus, and its falling victim to a horrible slant. |

IMO, you could do a few things to improve this photo. The focus on the boat seems soft, and the horizon is a little bit off (crop and rotate). I would have included a little more water and a little less sky. |

The tilted horizon and the subject just do not appeal to me. A more of a landscape cropping would have helped. 4 |

I like the colors in this photo and I like the choice of subject. The only thing holding it back a bit for me is that the subject is blurry and out of focus....hard to do with such a long shot, I know. |

The filter used on the ship makes it look less appealing. The image should have been left to show the ship detail. |

Ship is out of focus. Or perhaps a bit grainy. Was the image really cropped to get this perspective? |

The horizon is not level. Looks like the ship is sliding off to the left. Also seems to be out of focus. |

nice idea, if only you could have caught the focus... this has happened to me so many times when trying to take similar shots. |

Urgh, great photo if it was taken with a longer lens, on a tripod, in better weather, and it looks like there is smudges on the CCD. Sorry, there is just a lot of things wrong with this photo. 1 |

This is a very nice idea and it meets the challenge. if you find your score low it is because of the focus. 5 |

Here's a photo that could have scored really well with me. It fits the challenge description perfectly. Unfortunately, your horizon is tilted and the image is WAY out of focus. Better luck next time! |

I would like this much better if some part of the vessel appeared to be in sharp focus. Nice colors, good use of negative space. |

Two things strike me about this image -
first the horizon is not level, and yes that was the first thing I saw
secondly I might have tried to get the ship slightly smaller and framed further to the right, just to give it a less central position. Good effort |

Out of focus and somewhat boring. Nothing breaks up the background, and there is nothing special about the subject. |

A little out of focuse, you might also want to try rotating to make the horizon level. |
