How is this minimalistic? This looks like a snapshot, not a competitive photo.
05/03/2005 08:14:21 PM
Beautiful, thoughtful eyes. I don't see how this fits with the challenge assignment though.
05/03/2005 06:46:04 PM
Minimize!
05/03/2005 09:29:41 AM
Don't think this fits "minimalism
05/02/2005 10:42:31 AM
Sorry. I do not believe this meets the challenge criteria.
05/02/2005 05:42:55 AM
I don't think this meets the challenge. Cute kid though.
05/02/2005 04:39:42 AM
yeah, go read the challenge description first.
05/01/2005 05:20:29 PM
Whoa, good shot but certainly doesn't meet the challenge criteria.
Second Pass: Bumping up. This is a nice portrait.
05/01/2005 04:22:31 PM
On its own, an interesting portrait. But for this challenge....I feel you've missed the point.
04/30/2005 07:57:08 PM
Subject takes up +3/4 of shot, I'm not seeing this as minimalism.
04/30/2005 04:20:03 PM
More a portrait than a minimalist image..
04/30/2005 10:37:52 AM
Correct me if I'm wrong... It just doesn't seem to fit the challenge
04/29/2005 06:44:11 PM
I dont believe this fits the challenge topic. It is a tad bit noisy and out of focus.
04/29/2005 12:49:21 PM
IMO, this doesn't seem to meet the challenge requirements.
04/29/2005 10:45:20 AM
Nice shot but not minimalism, at least as I read the rules.
04/29/2005 01:46:00 AM
is this supposed to be minimalistic in the meaning? explanation please. im confused.
04/28/2005 07:51:49 PM
beautiful child but more of a portrait.....imo
04/28/2005 12:37:55 PM
Out of the box try. 6 and good luck
04/27/2005 10:51:49 PM
The clarity of this photo is decent and i like the choice of model. But the subject takes up a large area of the entire photo, which goes against the guidelines for this challenge.
04/27/2005 07:15:33 PM
poor focus / unsharp
i think the concept of a person in minimalism would be to make them a small portion of the image - this was not done
04/27/2005 03:02:05 PM
I'm afraid that you may have missed the point with this entry. This fills the frame and I've searched hard for a small item that may be intended as the subject, but with no success. Aside form this, your photo is quite soft and the child's expression is not very natural - seemingly too conscious of the camera. Light is quite flat which doesn't help either. Sorry!
04/27/2005 01:58:21 PM
I feel this image had a central subject that occupied a small portion of the image.
04/27/2005 01:29:48 PM
Nice portrait, ashame it doesn't fit the challenge at all!
04/27/2005 10:32:36 AM
Not sure the subject is a 'very small' part of the image. I don't find the pink shirt enhances the photo - almost any earth tone shade would probably be better or a blue or green or white.
04/27/2005 08:43:50 AM
Lacks the simplicity and elegance I associate with minimalism, but nice all the same
04/27/2005 03:09:04 AM
I have no idea what's supposed to be minimalistic about this photograph. It meets neither the contest definition nor the classic definition. Cute kid, though the image could use some mild sharpening.
04/27/2005 02:46:49 AM
not sure how this fits the challenge. . .
04/27/2005 01:41:50 AM
just a little too much of the child to br minimal
