Hi Ruedischmutz...

My personal thoughts on this image as an advertisement are that there are too many contrasts in the image and your subject blends into the environment a little too much. The objects that you place with a subject in a photo like this need to contribute to the subject in some way, and I can't seem to determine how the glass plays a supporting role in this photo. The black/white contrast from your surface also creates a strong 'pull' away from the subject of the photo.

Excellent B&W choice here in this somewhat abstract composition.
The strong diagonal in the background adds a nice flair to the shot, the reflections in the glass work well and overall a very nice take on this challenge. (8)

I have an obsession with martini glasses so the glass makes me love this real quick, the dark green background does a great job at making the glass and silver stand out. awesome!

It's ok. Not sure I get the choice of props. Is the ring supposed to be a napkin ring or is it a piece of jewelry? The white diagonal line in the background it throwing me off - seems distracting. Good focus and you did a good job of keeping unwanted reflections out of the glass as far as I can tell. Good luck.

This is a very nice picture, original composition, good light and focus. My personal opinion is that this picture in colour would sell a lot more than in B&W, it reduces the impact on the possible buyer.
