My subject was the eye, not the bird, but over the heads of many DPers it flew with grace and love :)

The bird takes up too much of the frame to be considered "minimal"

Good capture but the bird takes up too much of the frame for it to work in this challenge... Would have been great with more empty green background on the right

Interesting concept, with the title giving the focal point, but the interesting colors on the bird actually distract from the eye here. Also, both bird and eye seem a little out of focus.

I'm not sure if this meets the minimalism challenge. As far as the composition goes, I really like the lines of the birds body and how they take the viewer's eye right to the bird's eye. The only change I would make would be to include all of the bird's tail.

subject is to occupy a very small portion of the image. This takes up most of the image, however, I love the detail and brightness of the eye. I like the use of DOF so that the subject isn't lost.

I dont' think this fits the challenge. The bird fills the whole image.

To me, the color seems a bit off. The brilliant green background is distracting.
