I have to give a special thanks to my wife who was very supportive during this session. This image speaks to me because there are so many lost souls just trying to find their way home and I feel this challenge gave us the opportunity to capture that feeling. Please let me know what you think.

This is the shot I should have entered. Please comment.

I want to thank everyone for their comments. I feel I overstated the challenge and made my subject too small. I had another image from the same day that would have been a better entry, and I may have choose the wrong one. I will try to post that image soon. Thanks again.

I keep wanting to tilt my head to the right just a bit. The haze along top left works for me, as does the person in front of the door.

IMO, the person of the title isn't the focal point of the picture (I had to look hard to see them), the church is.

I'm failing to see how this qualifies for minimalism. I would like to point out that your entire building seems to be leaning to the right. Perhaps a quick visit in photoshop, crop, and rotate slightly to the right would have corrected this.

Other than that it's a nice picture of a church.

What presents "minimalism"? A beautiful church but a photo is more a basic tourist photo.

depends too much on the title - you shouldn't have to tell viewers that someone's there, they should see it. show, not tell.

This is an interesting shot, but I'm not sure it fits with the idea of minimalism as defined in the challenge description.

I am not sure this fits the challenge unless you are refering to yourself as minimal which of course we all are in this life Image is a bit dark

Is that a person?

Took me a little bit to find the praying person. Cool photo with a lot of depth of faith and field. The sky is grand. Blessings to you!

interesting use of theme

it's not very sharp and the person is had to make out - not a strong point of the composition by any means

I don't see how it fits the challenge, but maybe I'm missing something. If I did, I apologize for the score.

nice building, is that a person or a fire hydrant in front of it?

I get the idea and I like it but somehow I don't find the image strong enough to live up to the title.

I think the subject is a bit too minimal. Hard to spot.

It's a nice photo, but I really wouldn't consider it Minimalism. The person sitting by the door gets lost in the picture and doesn't draw attention.

it seems a little crooked to me

Not sure if this is right. The church is the subject and it takes up most of the image.

Wow, I'd love to see a night shoot of that. Nice.

Transform perspective in photoshop to correct the building to make it straight up and down.

Minimal yes, but doesn't have the simple elegance I associate with minimalism.
