Of course this had to be John :) -- disappointed to see that you didn't place higher, but great job nonetheless.

The amazingly bright colors, sharp focus, and wonderful framing of this image really set your photograph high above the other darts shots -- and above many of the shots in the challenge!

Nice. It reminds me of mine. It so clean which definitely helps the contrast and makes the whole scene 'pop'.

Since its a setup, I feel like you could've done more with this.... A different perspective? A wider angle? I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

Great colors, tack sharp, well lit and nicely composed. Why'd you rotate it? (Come to think of it, why'd you shoot it from below in the first place?) If you had a tripod it might have been good to shoot a little more head-on and include the fletching on the darts, but that's another image. Raising your score on my second look.

Nice color and Focus.

seems a little too staged ....

Great focus and color. This is really being nit-picky but the composition would have been much better if the board had been old with the center almost eaten away. Also would have been a good candidate for "advertisement" challenge.

Nice angle, I actually did this once!
05/24/2002 12:00:00 PM
great closeup, good lighting, very well executed picture! 10.

Bullseye ! good composition

Nice angle, good lighting, great color plus I really like darts. :) Nice cropping too.

Those darts need a little light from this side to bring out the golden glow of the grips and to differentiate the rest of the shaft from the black portions of the board a little better. (Right now, in some places you can't tell where the board -- or bakground -- ends and the dart begins, apart from visualy continuity. That's not exactly the right word, but if you're not sure what I'm getting at, ask) The board itself is well lit -- the reds and greens really pop, and the wire is perfect.

Nice crisp image.

The colors of the dart board don't seem that attractive. However, this is a unique game, however, it may have been better to have a person with a dart in their hand or something.

A beautiful shot, and the lighting is perfect. What kind of light setup did you use?
05/22/2002 09:17:00 AM
Nicely done, great colors, good angle.
05/21/2002 10:24:00 PM
good shot, well three good shots, I think I would have liked it better if it wasn't a brand new dart board, or if one was off the mark. I would also have used a larger apatrure to blur out the background, the other side of the board with the numbers is too sharp in focus and keeps pulling my eye over to it.
05/21/2002 07:55:00 PM
Crisp, clear, shot
05/21/2002 06:35:00 PM
I like the composition. Must have taken a million tries, though, to get it set up just...no...wait...I get it...
05/21/2002 08:07:00 AM
Very Nice, wish my board was this colorful..........
05/21/2002 05:07:00 AM
isn't 20 meant to be at the top? :) I think I would have preferred less DOF, thus blurring the 'top' (left for this pic) of the board. I like the placement of the bullseye in the photo and the darts and wires of the board leading your eye to it, but the black shafts of the darts blend in with the black background. Still good IMO

A little too close.
05/20/2002 03:44:00 PM
Amazing light and color, great focus. I like the way you filled the frame with your subject.
05/20/2002 02:12:00 PM
I would have taken a picture too! Great color contrast.
05/20/2002 01:33:00 PM
Composition could of been a little better. It's a good shot all in all. Good color.
05/20/2002 12:30:00 PM
Nice angle and great focus !
05/20/2002 12:26:00 PM
This is very well done. The colors are great, the background is right, and the lighting is flawless.
05/20/2002 10:19:00 AM
Like the color, like the sharpness, hate the angle.. 7.
05/20/2002 06:26:00 AM
