Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil

Composition - Fish pictures are among the most difficult to take, especially in an aquarium where the lighting is usually not so good. This photo is very well composed. The crop is a little tight and the smaller fish is cut off a little. THis is probably a little detrimental but not the end of the world. The color of the fish is not good though, since whatever this effect is taking most if not all of it away.

Technical - This is the downfall of this photo. I'm not sure if you used flash or how this photo got to look like this. The focus is not sharp, parts of the fish are washed out, the white balance is way off giving everything a very yellowy hue. It's not a very well taken photo.

Overall - The score for this picture is pretty indicative of how I feel about it. Its a nicely conceived photo, but really stops after that. I'd like to see more available light provided so that it would look much more natural. The strange light situation here is really detrimental to the photo. Best of luck in future challenges - Inspzil

It's a bit of a tight crop on the two fish - parts of them are cut off. Maybe a bit too much PS? It's overly green just to make it colorful?

Nice presentation of yellow and green tones. What an added bonus to this photo that the fish both have the same expressions on their faces and are facing in the same direction.

Nice composition but the resolution is distracting in this image. Also look into using the levels function in photoshop to inprove this image. It has a overall color cast to it.

Too yellow/green. Also the lines (from the glass?) take away from the picture. But It's a good shot. Nicely framed. I know it can be hard to take picture of fish, especially two together. They just don't seem to cooperate.

I tried an aquarium shot too, these guys are hard to catch standing still, let alone beside one another, good job. One thing I think is important for an aqarium shot is proper lighting, though - the color cast here seems very yellow.

Nice capture but rather dull in the color department. I like the "pose" .
