| This is a lovely shot but the waters are just too pretty to be gloomy. I would have liked this anywere else but this challenge. Sad to say mine is the same way (lonely n blue) and getting scored so low for that. Personally I only score down a point or two for not fitting a category. Nice DOF, color, line, shapes, and textures. There is a lack of sharpness, mostly in the clouds. |

| its starting to point towards gloom but imo is not yet there. This is a wonderful shot and has lots of potential. I would say that if you wanted this to be gloom then you will need a lot more dodge/burn and multiply layers. |

| Composition doesn't feel strong enough. It's a good attempt at leading lines with a well placed horizon and effective clouds but there's just no 'wow' here. |

| It might just be me, but I think to appropriately convey gloom you would have to push the processing here a bit more - perhaps convert to black and white, and do a bit of Heidering on that sky. I do like the composition though. 6 |

Although I don̢۪t say this is a bad picture I have scored this low.
Low in my book is not extremely low, but I guess there will be other people thinking the same way I do who don̢۪t leave a comment.
Don̢۪t take this the wrong way, this is my own opinion, and I am trying to let you understand what some voters may think.
In my opinion this does not meet the challenge, the description of the challenge: Take a picture that captures an emotion.
I looked hard, but I don̢۪t see an emotion. This could be my fault, but that̢۪s the reason why I voted lower as I would normaly do.
