 As the garden party at a friends' house was winding down, a few couples started dancing under the sky in the driveway. I was standing in the carport and bounced the flash (Canon Speedlite 580EX) off the ceiling.

Nice picture. I like the subject, there's an obvious chemistry between these two and that clearly comes across. The lighting and exposure are good, but I'm not sure about the composition and I feel that there's a bit too much empty space around the subject. Also, it's a pity that we cannot see a bit more of the womans face. That said, it's still one of my favourites from this challenge and I hope it does well.

On the LCD, this was almost black on black. On my CRT, it comes out just fine, complete with the slight leaf detail in the background which breaks up the negative space nicely.

What a creative shot and a beautiful capture of a lovely moment! I love the smile on the man's face. The image is so crisp, I feel like they're dancing right in front of me. Great job!

Nice lighting, although it's just a little too harsh. Composition doesn't seem imaginative, but the pose of the couple is great. It's the negative space that doesn't work for me.

I'm sure it was taken late at night, but it's so "lit" that I get no "sense" of night, which is what I take the challenge to be about. A nice shot of this loving couple, however.
