Taken in a newly found location waaay back in the woods of the Appalachian Mountains near Indian Rock,VA at about 6pm. Because of the time of day, tree cover, & remote mountainous region, the lighting was minimal at best - not to mention the fact that I fell down the side of the ravine trying to get closer to the waterfalls!

Post edits include increased lighting, increasing color saturation, diffusing glow, adding soft edges & blurring the image (for dream effect).

You created an atmosphere that most of us have experienced!

First impression is that this is more out of focus than soft focused which I'm sure is not your intention. Maybe you were trying something different from the standard longer exposed image with the banks in focus but the strong water flow pattern. However, this one might have bee better if you'd used the standard technique but then duplicated the layer and applied a strong gaussian blur to the duplicated layer, and then reduced the opacity of the blurred layer until it had an overall dreamlike appearance.

Looks like it could have been great but way too much blurring. The title also kills the feel of a dreamy image....even though this peeing dream could be a very real thing for some...I suppose.

lol...great idea...focus is a distraction though I'm sure it was intentionally moved that blurry...

Beautiful waterfall! I'd love to know where you shot this. It's a touch too soft for my tastes. It gives a dreamlike quallity, but I loose a lot of the detail that my eye wants to see. Perhaps somewhere in between sharp and this soft? Good lighting and good placement.

Funny title and yes, this subject usually wakes me up from a dream. The waterfall is beautiful but way out of focus or blurry you probably meant to have it dreamlike but imo that wasn't needed....

This is my second go-around =) - Funny title!!! This photo does have great composition and colors... the only things hurting it is the white border (looks distracting and kinda cheapens the photo) and the photo is really out of focus. I would definately go back and reshoot it. I gave it a 4... if in focus then a 6-7 without the white border then 8-9. I hope this helps =)

I konw that this is meant to be 'dreamy', but I feel that it's a bit too soft-focus.

LOL first image I vote on this challenge and I get this thanks for starting it of with a smile. I understand the use of soft focus to give this a dreamy feel. It just dosn't look right to me I was thinking that maybe a radial blur leaving the center in focus might have worked better. This would give a more defined focal point. But still a fun picture.

funny title, i think this wouldve been better if you wouldve focused on the water fall and kept the outside blurred..not sure how to do it but i saw it in another dream photo.
